Leadership Values
I lead with candor, empathy, and a focus on the humans behind the work. By prioritizing People, Partnership, Product, and Process, I aim to drive growth for both my team and the business. In my current leadership role at eBay, I have been recognized as a Top Performer (top 10%) and Critical Talent (top 5%) owing to my success as a people leader, cross-functional collaborator, and contributor to both product growth and process improvements.
People
Building and supporting a happy and high performing team of talented designers is the most rewarding and important part of my role as a design leader. At eBay, I have been able make the case for expanded headcount for the team and
overseen hiring for 13 roles, I've successfully coached 3 of my directs into significant promotions, and I regularly receive high Glint feedback scores from my team.

Partnership
I value partnership and see the triad of engineering, product, and design as essential to successful projects. Throughout my career, I've excelled at working cross-functionally, bringing together diverse groups to solve complex customer experience problems and building consensus across differing viewpoints. I’m recognized as a trusted and valued partner, and people enjoy working with me. I lean into understanding others’ motivations and demonstrate the value of design in an agile, adaptable way, rather than insisting on rigid processes or perfection. I believe that being a good partner is about flexibility, empathy, and collaboration.
Product
My approach to product is shaped by a diverse background that includes roles in Fortune 500 companies, design agencies, and startups across various industries. I've worked not only in design and design leadership roles but also as a product manager, technical project manager, and even briefly as a coder. This varied experience allows me to lead with a unique perspective that is user centered but also grounded in business needs and technical constraints and opportunities.

Process
I have long been a champion of "just enough" process and believe that having an aligned process helps teams navigate complex challenges, measure progress, and adapt to changes, ultimately turning visionary concepts into successful outcomes.

At eBay I've been part of multiple process tiger teams working to align cross-functional groups around an organization-wide double-diamond approach to solving the right problem and solving the problem right.

Over my career, I've also had the opportunity to put a wide range of design thinking methods to work including journey mapping, JTBD, prototyping, IA analysis and various types of user testing and design research.
